【摘要】:Thisstandarddescribesamethodfordeterminingthelossonignitionofglassreinforcedplastics.1Ifthematerialtobetestedcontainsonlyglassandaresinwhichiscompletelycombustible(undertheconditionsofthistestmethod),thelossonignitionisequaltotheresincontent(seenotebelow).Theglasscontentmaythenbecalculatedbydifference.2Inthecaseofproductswhichcontainnon-combustiblemineralfillers,otherthanglassreinforcement,orresinswhichareincompletelycombustible(undertheconditionsofthistestmethod),thepresenceofwhichmaterialscanberecognizedorverifiedbyexaminationoftheresidueafterignition,thismethodonlyallowsthedeterminationoftheashbydifference.MOTE.Theglassusedasareinforcementisusuallycoatedwithancillaryproducts(sizing,finish,etc.)whichmostoftenarecompletelyeliminatedduringcalcinationandthereforeincludedinthelossonignition.
