【摘要】:1.1Thesepracticescoverthefollowingfourtests:1.1.1PracticeW8212;Oxalicacidetchtestfordetectingsusceptibilitytointergranularattackinstabilizedferriticstainlesssteelsbyclassificationoftheetchingstructures(seeSections3through10).1.1.2PracticeX8212;Ferricsulfate-sulfuricacidtestfordetectingsusceptibilitytointergranularattackinferriticstainlesssteels(Sections11to16).1.1.3PracticeY8212;Copper-coppersulfate-50%sulfuricacidtestfordetectingsusceptibilitytointergranularattackinferriticstainlesssteels(Sections17to22).1.1.4PracticeZ8212;Copper-coppersulfate-16%sulfuricacidtestfordetectingsusceptibilitytointergranularattackinferriticstainlesssteels(Sections23to29).1.2Thefollowingfactorsgoverntheapplicationofthesepractices(1-6):1.2.1PracticeW,oxalicacidtest,isarapidmethodofidentifying,bysimple,electrolyticetching,thosespecimensofcertainferriticalloysthatarenotsusceptibletointergranularcorrosionassociatedwithchromiumcarbideprecipitation.PracticeWisusedasascreeningtesttoavoidthenecessity,foracceptablespecimens,ofmoreextensivetestingrequiredbyPracticesX,Y,andZ.SeeTable1foralistingofalloysforwhichPracticeWisappropriate.1.2.2PracticesX,Y,andZcanbeusedtodetectthesusceptibilityofcertainferriticalloystointergranularattackassociatedwiththeprecipitationofchromiumcarbidesornitrides.1.2.3PracticesW,X,Y,andZcanalsobeusedtoevaluatetheeffectofheattreatmentoroffusionweldingonsusceptibilitytointergranularcorrosion.1.2.4liststheidentificationferriticstainlesssteelsforwhichdataontheapplicationofatleastoneofthestandardpracticesisavailable.1.2.5SomestabilizedferriticstainlesssteelsmayshowhighrateswhentestedbyPracticeXbecauseofmetallurgicalfactorsnotassociatedwithchromiumcarbideornitrideprecipitation.Thispossibilitymustbeconsideredinselectingthetestmethod.Combinationsofalloysandtestmethodsforwhichsuccessfulexperienceisavailableareshownin.Applicationofthesestandardteststotheotherferriticstainlesssteelswillbebyspecificagreementbetweenproduceranduser.1.3Dependingonthetestandalloy,evaluationsmaybeaccomplishedbyweightlossdetermination,microscopicalexamination,orbendtest(Sections30and31).ThechoicesarelistedinTable1.1.4sibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificsafetyprecautionarystatements,see3.2.5,Section7,13.1,and19.1.

【摘要】:Thistestmethodfortestingforwaterretentionoffibersaftercentrifugingisnotrecommendedforacceptancetestingofcommercialshipmentsbecausethetestismoreappropriatefordevelopmentandresearch.However,ifthetestistobeusedforacceptancetesting,comparativetestsasdescribedin5.1.1areadvised.5.1.1InthecaseofadisputearisingfromdifferencesinreportedtestresultsusingTestMethodD2402foracceptancetestingofcommercialshipments,thepurchaserandthesuppliershouldconductcomparativeteststodetermineifstatisticalbiasesexistbetweentheirlaboratories.Asaminimum,thetwopartiesshouldtakeagroupoftestspecimensthatareashomogeneousaspossibleandthatarefromalotofmaterialofthetypeinquestion.Thetestspecimensshouldthenberandomlyassignedinequalnumberstoeachlaboratoryfortesting.TheaverageresultsfromthetwolaboratoriesshouldbecomparedusingtheStudentrsquo;t-testforunpaireddatawithanacceptableprobabilitylevelchosenbythetwopartieswhiledesigningthetestprogram.Iftheanalysisshowsabias,itscausemustbefoundandcorrected,orthepurchaserandsuppliermustagreetointerpretfuturetestdatawithconsiderationfortheknownbias.Theamountofwaterretainedbyafibermassincreaseswithanincreaseinthehydrophilictendencyofthefiber.Thusthedataobtainedcanbeusedtoindicatethefollowing:5.2.1Differencesinwaterretentionbetweenthevariousman-madeandnaturalfibers,5.2.2Degreeofcross-linkingincellulosicfibers,5.2.3Damageincurredbywoolandsilkfibersduetoalkalineprocessing,and5.2.4Persistenceofwater-repellenttreatments.FIG.1Cross-sectionViewofCentrifugeTubeAssembly1.1Thistestmethodcoversthemeasurementofwaterretentionofman-madeandnaturalfibersasstaple,tow,orfilamentandspunyarns.Itisintendedtogiveameasureoftheamountofwaterwhichcannotberemovedfromthoroughlywettedfibersolelybymechanicalmeansasappliedbycentrifugalforce(see3.2).Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection9.
