【摘要】:Thistestmethodisdesignedtoproducelongitudinaltensilestrengthandelongationdata.Fromatensiontest,avarietyofdataareacquiredthatareneededfordesignpurposes.Material-relatedfactorsthatinfluencethetensileresponseofbarsandshouldthereforebereportedincludethefollowing:constituentmaterials,voidcontent,volumepercentreinforcement,methodsoffabrication,andfiberreinforcementarchitecture.Similarly,testfactorsrelevanttothemeasuredtensileresponseofbarsincludespecimenpreparation,specimenconditioning,environmentoftesting,specimenalignmentandgripping,andspeedoftesting.Properties,inthetestdirection,thatmaybeobtainedfromthistestmethodinclude:5.1.1Ultimatetensilestrength,5.1.2Ultimatetensilestrain,5.1.3Tensilechordmodulusofelasticity,and5.1.4Stress-straincurve.1.1Thistestmethoddeterminesthequasi-staticlongitudinaltensilestrengthandelongationpropertiesoffiberreinforcedpolymermatrix(FRP)compositebarscommonlyusedastensileelementsinreinforced,prestressed,orpost-tensionedconcrete.Note1AdditionalproceduresfordeterminingtensilepropertiesofpolymermatrixcompositesmaybefoundintestmethodsD3039/D3039MandD3916.1.2LinearelementsusedforreinforcingPortlandcementconcretearereferredtoasbars,rebar,rods,ortendons,dependingonthespecificapplication.Thistestmethodisapplicabletoallsuchreinforcementswithinthelimitationsnotedinthemethod.Thetestarticlesarereferredtoasbarsinthistestmethod.Ingeneral,barshavesolidcross-sectionsandaregularpatternofsurfaceundulationsand/oracoatingofbondedparticlesthatpromotemechanicalinterlockbetweenthebarandconcrete.Thetestmethodisalsoappropriateforusewithlinearsegmentscutfromagrid.Specificdetailsforpreparingandtestingofbarsandgridsareprovided.Insomecases,anchorsmaybenecessarytopreventgrip-induceddamagetotheendsofthebarorgrid.Recommendeddetailsfortheanchorsareprovidedin.1.3Thestrengthvaluesprovidedbythismethodareshort-termstaticstrengthsthatdonotaccountforsustainedstaticorfatigueloading.Additionalmaterialcharacterizationmayberequired,especiallyforbarsthataretobeusedunderhighlevelsofsustainedorrepeatedloading.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.1.4ThevaluesstatedineitherSIunitsorinch-poundunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,theinch-poundunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemmustbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththestandard.1.5ThisannexdescribestherecommendedanchortofacilitategrippingofFRPbarspecimensforvarioustypesoftestsperformedundertensileloading.Italsospecifiespreparationofthespecimens.Othertypesofanchorsmaybeusedprovideditisdemonstratedthat(a)failureofthebaroccursoutsidetheanchorsand(b)theanchorspreventexcessiveslipofthebarpriortotensilefailure.1.6Thisannexprovidesrecommendationsfortestingbarsinconditionsthatareotherthanstandardlaboratoryconditions.Theseconditionsmayincludeimmersioninwaterorotheraqueoussolutionand/orelevatedtemperatureormoistureconditions.
